Empowering Youth to Heal, Learn, and Rise.
Learning and Empowerment Hub
With unwavering commitment, we stand by every young person — providing not just services, but true support, hope, and the belief that they can rise above any challenge.
Who we are!
To receive what is best, we walk the most excellent path. And the most excellent way — is love.
So let us be the change we want to see in the world — by walking in love, and leading with love.
our philosophy
At Genrise Youth Center, we believe that every young person deserves the chance to rise, heal, and thrive — regardless of their background, challenges, or circumstances. Our philosophy is rooted in the understanding that true transformation happens when youth are empowered with knowledge, guided with compassion, and supported by a strong community.
We are committed to:
-
Healing the whole person — addressing emotional, mental, and social well-being.
-
Educating for empowerment — providing tools, resources, and learning opportunities that unlock potential.
-
Standing by, not standing over — walking alongside each youth on their journey, respecting their voice and choices.
-
Building community, not just programs — fostering a sense of belonging, shared responsibility, and collective growth.
This philosophy drives everything we do — from our rehabilitation services to our free library, literacy initiatives, and youth development programs. Because at Genrise Youth Center, we know that when young people rise, communities rise with them.
Our History
Driven by this mission, the center quickly grew beyond its humble beginnings. Recognizing the need for more space and to better serve the growing number of young people seeking help, Engineer Abinet moved the center into a larger rented facility, expanding the reach and impact of the service.
Today, Genrise Youth Center operates three active branches, reaching and empowering many young people through rehabilitation, counseling, literacy programs, and personal development services. What started as one person’s dream has now become a thriving community initiative, touching lives, inspiring hope, and fostering transformation.
